I've found that when I use Parallels (and unfortunately I must unless I want to invest another $1,200 - $1,500 in Mac software to duplicate what I need to use), the cursor is often duplicated. I'll have the cursor I'm SUPPOSED to have, plus another cursor which hovers off to one side of the real cursor. ADVERTISEMENTOS X :: Disappearing Screen And Missing HD Icon On Desktop?
Mar 24, 2010I currently have a macbook which I've had since December. A problem has now occurred, my screen keeps randomly disappearing after the first time it done it the mac took 3 or 4 minutes to show the screen again then when it loaded up again there was no icon for the HD folder. Any ideas what is causing this and how to get it fixed? Is it the hard drive? That's what I maybe thought.
IMac :: Reconnect Magic Mouse - Can't Move To Bluetooth Icon
Oct 24, 2009Mainly for the idea to use the monitor as a external monitor. This is what I need. I basically want the magic mouse to automatically connect to the macbook pro when I plug the MacBook into the iMac as an external display. Obviously then I need it to disconnect from the iMac (because apparently you can only pair with one thing w/ bluetooth). I realize you can go thru the tedious steps of disconnecting from the iMac and then reconnecting to the MacBook every time, but its a pain, and honestly I can't figure out how to reconnect to the iMac if the mouse is disconnected (ie I can't move the mouse to the bluetooth icon on the iMac if it's disconnected, I hope that makes sense).
IMac (Intel) :: Folder Icon Is Blocked With Mouse Cursor?
Aug 22, 2014My colleague reported me something a bit strange a creasy. They told me that the icon folder is following the cursor mouse. (It's not a joke) . I just experienced this right now, and I am going to explain step by step, what I did.
I opened Finder
I selected a folder to move it into the Favorite section (in order to access it quickly via the favorite bar)
I placed it between Desktop and Document.
While I move that folder, the folder icon appear close to the mouse cursor. This is normal
BUT when I released my button mouse in order to create the folder favorite, (between Desktop and Documents), the folder icon remind on the cursour mouse, and follow it.
Nothing freeze, I can mouve the mouse but it do not react to a click.
To 'remove' the folder icon, I have to relauch the Finder (cmdt+shift+esc), or some time, it desappear after 3-4 minute.
When the icon is remove, the mouse is not working perfectly for a moment.
We have this problem while we mouve a pdf, or a .doc file.
My colleague work on iMac 10.9.4.
This problem happen while we want to create a favoris to a local folder or to a remote folder.
4/6 collabrators have this problem and there are all in the same office.
The particularity, they have all a wireless mouse, but I do not think the mouse devise cause this problem.

MacBook Pro :: White Screen Of Doom After Installing Updates / Mouse Icon Continuously Spinning
Apr 17, 2010Macbook Pro 15'. Product #: Z0GG
Backstory: Sunday the updates window popped up so I let it run and reboot. Boot screen is stuck on the white screen with apple logo and spinning icon. None of the typical hotkeys were working like the Shift key to go to Safe Mode. I decided to resinstall Snow Leopard which went perfectly fine since I was able to boot off of the Install DVD. Everything seemed fine after the install and I had all of my previous programs and files.
It worked fine all day yesterday until I shut the lid to leave work. I got home, opened the lid and the spinning mouse icon was continuously spinning. I could move the mouse but couldn't click anything. I shut it down using the power button. Upon booting it up I did not hear the boot up sound but a white screen displayed and didn't do anything from there. I rebooted it again, inserted the Snow Leopard DVD to try and boot off of that and it won't even boot off of the DVD. None of the typical hotkeys work either, not even to eject the DVD. I do hear the DVD spinning up but it doesn't do anything; just a white screen.
I did reset the PRAM which forced it to reboot and I got the startup sound back but it still only shows a white screen. Any ideas? I forgot to purchase Apple Care last month before my 1 year warranty ran out so I'm 1.5 months out of that.
OS X :: Hardrive Icon Keeps Disappearing From My Desktop?
Jan 17, 2010I have an extra internal hard drive (Maxtor) on my Apple Mac.
Recently, I have noticed that the icon on the desktop that represents Maxtor only remains on the desktop for a period of 2-3 days then disappears. I then have to manually restore it but any files saved on it are lost.
Fortunately I do not use this Maxtor drive for saving files to much but I would still like to know how to solve this problem.

Windows On Mac :: Mouse Pointer Disappearing In Parallels
Jun 14, 2007Something weird happens to my mouse sometimes and it seems to only happen (I think) when Parallels is running. The pointer just disappears. It turns invisible. I am using Version 2.5 (and can see no real reason to upgrade to 3) and yes, I have installed Parallels tools!
Hardware :: File Disappearing / No Icon On FAT32 External Drive?
Dec 29, 2008While using my MacBook to access an external drive which is formatted Fat32, I attempted to slightly alter the name of a file with a particularly long file name. Once I changed the name, the file extension was cropped, and the file became inaccessible. Now I can see that the file is there (with no extension at the end of the name), but if I click on it or highlight it, it just disappears, and when visible, in place of the file icon there is just a dashed line box. The file is also visible with Terminal, but if I try to take any action Terminal reports that there is 'no such file or directory.'
I tried DiskUtility, DiskWarrior and File Buddy but apparently they don't work too well with the Fat32 format. I also tried repairing permissions, restarting the computer, disconnecting and reconnecting the hard drive, and also rebuilding the desktop (?) using alt-command on startup..all to no avail. It's clear what happened: I screwed up - I should have reformatted the drive before I put any files on it, right? But now, I just want my file back. I know it's there. I can see it, and I'm afraid to alter the drive in any way until I can access this file.

OS X Mavericks :: IMac Screen Stays Black After Sleep But Mouse Works?
Sep 5, 2014I have an early 2008, 24-inch iMac. This problem started after I installed an OS X Mavericks update (and has continued). Basically, after the screen is asleep for a while, if you come back and move the mouse / tap the keyboard, the desktop never reappears. The screen stays black but the mouse cursor shows up and you can drag it around. I've seen some similar issues that said they could get the app switcher, but that never happens for me. Just mouse cursor and black screen, no matter how long you try to wait it out or tap buttons. The only solution is a cold restart, although I think in the past I was able to fix by turning off energy saver settings for putting the display to sleep. It doesn't happen every time, I'd say it happens over 50% of the time. The problem actually kicked in with one particular App Store update of Mavericks. I believe it was 10.9.3 if I recall correctly.

Intel Mac :: My Safari Window Is Disappearing In Non Full Screen Mode OSX Lion
Apr 27, 2012I seem to have the following problem. not sure exactly how it started as my wife was using the mac at the time (she says she just dragged the safari to different desktop via mission control) but now the situation is as follows:
When I hit safari icon it switches on (I can see the little light dot underneath the icon and after right click I can see names of windows that are opened) however I can only see the Safari menu at the top but no window. If I scroll to the right or left to different desktops it's not there, the same goes if I double tap to see the Mission Control mode it's not there..
I so far figured out that once the Safari menu is visible on top of the screen I can go to View>Enter Full Screen and then Safari will come back into the full screen mode but once I unclick the full screen button in right top corner the whole window just swoops into the right top corner and it's nowhere to be found again.

Is Parallels Desktop for You?
Parallels Desktop For Mac Torrent
I’ve been using Parallels Desktop 13 on my MacBook Pro with the default configuration which is 2GB of RAM and 256MB shared graphics. I haven’t faced any issues jumping between macOS and Windows 10. Interacting with Windows apps and browsing the web in Microsoft Edge have all been smooth.
That said if you’re going to be running professional apps, you might want to increase the RAM limit to 4GB.
Parallels Desktop’s chief competitor is VMware Fusion. Both apps have a healthy competition and it leads to better updates every year. For the past couple of years, Parallels Desktop has taken the clear lead when it comes to user experience and ease of use.
If you’re in a corporate or IT environment where you need to roll out virtual machines by the hundreds, VMware Fusion has a clear advantage. But for everyone from beginners to independent professionals, Parallels will offer a better, faster experience (especially for Windows 10).
Parallels Desktop 13 costs $80. If you’ve used Parallels 11 or 12, you can upgrade for $50. If you’re a professional or a business user, you should look into their Parallels Desktop Business plan that starts at $100/year. If you’re okay with configuring and managing your own VM, VirtualBox is a good free alternative to Parallels Desktop.
Try Parallels for Free
You can try Parallels Desktop for 14 days before deciding if you want to jump in. That’s enough time to setup your Windows environment and test it in a work environment, before deciding whether or not to take the plunge.
