Parallels on Wednesday announced the release of Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac with built-in support for Apple's upcoming OS X 10.10 Yosemite, faster Windows app performance, better battery life. Use Windows side by side with macOS ® (no restarting required) on your MacBook ®, MacBook Pro ®, iMac ®, iMac Pro ®, Mac mini ®, or Mac Pro ®.Share files and folders, copy and paste images and text and drag and drop files between Mac and Windows applications. Parallels Desktop 10 offers a bevy of new features and enhancements, including OS X Yosemite support, iCloud Drive and iPhoto Library support and battery life and performance speed optimizations.
Parallels on Wednesday announced the availability of Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac with OS X Yosemite integration, including support for iCloud Drive, iMessage and SMS text sharing on Windows.
Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite has just been made available for the Mac Developer Program. At this time, we do not have information on running Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite. Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac arrives over a year after version 9 was released in April 2013, along with a dedicated Enterprise Edition allowing users to run Windows applications seamlessly.
Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac also allows for control of virtual machines from Spotlight preview and Finder QuickLook, in addition to having new ease-of-use improvements including improved performance, battery life and usability.

Parallels is one of the better virtualization software suites available for Mac, allowing OS X users to run Windows applications natively on the desktop as an operating system within an operating system.
Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac is available as a $49.99 upgrade for existing users today, while new customers will be able to purchase the software in-stores and online for $79.99 beginning August 26th.
